See you in Robotex 2011!
Dear fan of Robotex,
Robotex 2010 took place from 3-4 December at the sports facility of the Tallinn University of Technology. The doors were open to everybody at 10.00 on both days. The event was FREE as it has been every year. Click here for more information.
This year's event
This year, Robotex is 10 years old. The competition is held in 2 days – a “novice” group on the first day and a “pro” group on the second.
Participation and rules
The autonomous robots play on 1 field with 9 balls. The aim is striking as many goals as possible. The competition between 2 robots requires at least 2 rounds. The robot that has won more rounds will advance to the next level. The teams are divided into 2 groups: “open” and “pro”. The “pro” group is open to all participants, but is mainly meant for robots of higher technical standards. For more information about rules, see “Rules”.
Technology fair
The technology fair takes place for the second time as a part of Robotex. It involves a number of organisations, robot clubs and several innovative projects. The goal is to introduce various technological developments and robotics projects to a wider audience. The fair is being displayed for everybody on both days.
Drawing and photography contest
Those not involved in the competition can take part in a robotics-themed drawing and photography contest. The rules will be published in September. The best works will be prized and placed for viewing. So participation pays off!
Exhibitions and expositions
In addition to the robots' competition and technology fair the best works of the contest of Young Inventors (organised by SA Archimedes) will be available for viewing. They will also be awarded. The expositions include the following: the graduation projects of the School of Technology course “Product Development and Design” (Tallinn University of Technology); works from the contest “SÄSI”, organised by the Estonian Design Centre; exhibition “The History of Robotex”.
See you in December!
